Why choose AltaDent for dentures in Amsterdam?

Dentures in just 3 appointments

Most dental practices require 5 or more visits to complete a new set of dentures. At AltaDent, we complete the entire process in just 3 appointments thanks to our own dental technicians working on-site. The total process typically takes 2–3 weeks.

Own in-house dental laboratory

We are one of the very few practices in Amsterdam with a fully equipped laboratory on the premises. Your denture is made here — by our own technicians — not sent to an external lab. This means direct quality control, faster delivery and lower costs.

Same-day denture repair

Broken or cracked denture? In most cases we can repair it the same day. Call us in the morning and your denture may be ready the same afternoon.

Denture relining and rebasing

If your denture no longer fits well because your jawbone has changed shape over time, we can reline or rebase the denture so it fits comfortably again.

Types of dentures we provide

Full dentures (complete denture)

Replacing all teeth in the upper or lower jaw — or both. Made from high-quality acrylic with natural-looking porcelain or composite teeth.

Partial dentures

Replacing several missing teeth while your remaining natural teeth stay in place. Partial dentures can be acrylic or metal-framed depending on your situation.

Implant-retained dentures (snap-on)

Dentures that clip securely onto dental implants placed in your jaw. The most stable and comfortable option — no slipping, no adhesive needed. Starting from €1,450 per implant all-in.

Denture costs and insurance

Denture costs in the Netherlands are regulated by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa), meaning prices are consistent across practices. However, because AltaDent makes dentures in-house, our total costs are often lower than practices that outsource to external labs.

A significant portion of denture costs is reimbursed by supplementary dental insurance. We help you understand your coverage during your free first consultation.

We speak your language

Our team speaks English, Dutch, Spanish, Turkish and Farsi. You can discuss your treatment, ask questions and receive aftercare advice entirely in English.

Frequently asked questions — dentures Amsterdam

How long does it take to get new dentures at AltaDent?
At AltaDent the process takes 3 appointments over approximately 2–3 weeks. This is significantly faster than most practices because we make your dentures in our own on-site laboratory.
Can you repair my broken denture the same day?
Yes, in most cases. Because we have our own laboratory, we can repair dentures much faster than practices that outsource. Call us in the morning to check availability.
What if my denture no longer fits properly?
Jawbones change shape over time, causing dentures to become loose or uncomfortable. We can reline or rebase your existing denture to restore the fit, or advise on a new denture if needed.
What is the difference between a denture and a snap-on denture?
A conventional denture rests on the gums and is held in place by suction and the shape of your jaw. A snap-on denture (implant-retained denture) clips onto implants in your jawbone — it cannot slip or shift and feels much more stable, especially when eating and speaking.
Do I need to go without teeth during the process?
We do our best to minimise the time you spend without teeth. In most cases a temporary denture can be provided during the treatment period. Discuss this with us during your free consultation.
